Non-Tenure Track Lecturer in Electrical & Computer Engineering
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track position at the rank of Lecturer. The department seeks applicants who can teach undergraduate courses in electrical & computer engineering and related mathematical areas. A PhD in electrical or computer engineering or a related field is desirable, but applicants with Master’s degrees and pertinent expertise and work experience will also be considered. Previous teaching and/or training experience is preferred. The primary responsibility will be teaching but occasional service to the institution will be required.

Assistant Professor in Computer Engineering
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Computer Engineering beginning August 2013. All Computer Engineering research areas will be considered but preference will be given to candidates with primary research interests in Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, and FPGAs. Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related areas with outstanding academic credentials that clearly demonstrate their ability to conduct independent and successful research in their areas of expertise. Candidates must have excellent communication skills with a commitment to engage in a high-quality undergraduate and graduate education in areas of computer engineering. Responsibilities for the position include research, teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and program development.

Assistant Professor in Communication Networks
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Communication Networks and related emerging fields, including but not limited to one or more of the following: wireless and hybrid networks, sensor networks, network modeling and simulation, traffic management, security, privacy, protocols, and applications to cloud computing. Exceptional candidates in other areas of communication systems may also be considered.
Required qualifications are Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related areas and demonstrated research and teaching capabilities. Responsibilities include research, teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and service to the institution.
